Piston is a reciprocating part in the cylinder block of automobile engine. The basic structure of piston can be divided into top, head and skirt. Therefore, the piston is required to have small mass, small coefficient of thermal expansion, good thermal conductivity, wear resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. Because the aluminum alloy material has the outstanding advantages of low density and good thermal conductivity, it ensures that the piston has sufficient strength, stiffness, small mass and light weight, so as to ensure the minimum inertial force. Although aluminum alloy has the disadvantages of large expansion coefficient and poor high-temperature strength, we can only meet the use requirements through reasonable structural design.
